It’s always been about you Dad for me. Sometimes you just vibe better with one parent more than the other. That’s not to say you love one less or more – you do more with people you get on better with.
Since my Dad passed away I’ve been speaking with my Mum most days really just to make sure she knows she’s not alone and that she is loved.
Last night my niece Skyped me from Mum’s new place to give me the grand tour.
Although it’s a new house it looks exactly how I expected it to – with a few new purchases (as expected đŸ˜€). It had a good vibe to it that I know my dad would have appreciated but still uniquely my Mum’s style.
Mum is the reason my skin is tough, my beliefs are resolute and I take no shit from anyone. She’s proving to be the soldier that our family has always known.
